SEND and Well-Being


Many of our children with SEND will be able to access the learning that is uploaded for children, however we do recognise that in some cases children may not be able to access learning without more help. In these instances, parents can access alternative year groups for learning tasks, or they can email the class teacher directly who will know what the child can achieve within the class on a daily basis, are best placed to know their learning needs, and can support with appropriate learning tasks. We would like to reassure parents that are concerned about helping their child that supporting children with their work will promote good learning and positive learning behaviours.



We understand that many families are concerned about Mental Health and Well-being, or that of their loved ones. Many families are also concerned about Covid-19, attending school and the changes that this might bring. We would like to reassure families that in such unusual circumstances, these feelings are normal. We recognise the importance of routines and socialising to children’s well-being and continue to support children and families and work alongside outside agencies.

A few top tips to promote positive well-being are:

  • Be kind to others (it boosts your own self-esteem)
  • Talk about your feelings
  • Organise your day
  • Stay in touch with family and friends online
  • Try and find opportunities and celebrate your achievements – you might be surprised at what you can achieve!
  • Keep Active
  • Eat healthily
  • Take time to relax and be mindful
